I was watching "The Perfect Man" at scv just now. Well, it was about how the daughter (Hilary Duff) helped her mother to stop escaping from love and life. Anyway, so there was this scene when the mother's colleagues encouraged the mother to enter this cake-making competition. But the mother was running herself down, saying she wasnt good and all that. All the negative stuff about herself. So one of her colleagues said something which I feel is so true. She said something like, "Why do we see the good points of the person we like but we only see the flaws in ourself". Wow... Philosophical! I think there are many things that we know or have experienced before, but we never really think about them or put them into words. And when u hear them, it just strikes u suddenly. Like a revelation, yet something that u already know. Just like that line in the movie. That's what I felt. Hee... Oh my.. Maybe I should have majored in socio or what. I have more ideas on what is going on in relation to people and blah rather than Japanese history.. Haa....
